UPDATE: Output Resumes at Troll Fields
Statoil has resumed production at its Norwegian North Sea Troll oil and gas fields after a small gas leak Tuesday.
Along with halting production at Troll A, output was reduced at sister Statoil fields Troll B and Troll C following the leak. Flows from the Kvitebjorn and Visund platforms were also shut in.
Gisle Johanson, Statoil spokesman, confirmed production has boosted back to normal output.
"We identified the problem as a small leak from the riser area, but it was quickly fixed," he said.
Operator Gassco confirmed operations are back to normal.
