Flowserve Builds New Response Centers Internationally
Flowserve announced the opening of new Quick Response Centers (QRC) in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam; Helsinki, Finland; and Martigues, France.
These new QRCs are part of the company's growing footprint of aftermarket service centers located near key customers around the world, offering a wide range of service and support to help customers maximize the effectiveness of their operations.
The new facility in Quang Ngai Province, Vietnam, is designed to supply mechanical seals and provide installation, warranty and maintenance services for the Dung Quat Refinery Project and other customers throughout the region. Oil-refining capacity in Vietnam is projected to reach nearly 450,000 barrels per day in 2011, according to Vietnam Oil & Gas Report.
Newly built, with more than 140 m2 (1,400 ft2) of combined office and workshop space, the Helsinki QRC provides installation, warranty and maintenance services for seal products and will soon expand to include pump repair.
The Martigues, France, facility provides installation, warranty and maintenance services for seal products and serves as a sales office for both seals and pumps. The newly built QRC is larger than the original Flowserve facility, with more than 960 m2 (10,300 ft2) of combined office and workshop space. Built in a thriving industrial area in the south of France, this QRC serves customers throughout the entire country.
"These new QRCs increase our local presence in important growth areas and allow us to offer the 24-hour customer service and rapid product repair our customers have come to expect from Flowserve," said Tom Ferguson, President, Flowserve Flow Solutions Group. "Our investment in these state-of-the-art facilities shows our continued commitment to serving and growing our global customer base."
