BP Norge Gets Green Light to Use Valhall Beyond Designed Lifetime
The Petroleum Safety Authority Norway gave consent to BP Norge AS to use QP and PCP on the Valhall field beyond their design lifetime. The consent grants BP to use QP until Sept. 1, 2012 and PCP until Dec. 31, 2011. The Valhall oil field lies in the Norwegian North Sea on Blocks 2/8 and 2/11 in 230 feet (70 meters) of water.
