KCA Deutag Scores Drilling Contract
KCA Deutag has been awarded a multimillion dollar contract by TAQA Energy B.V., the Dutch subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi National Energy Company PJSC (TAQA).
The contract, which is for KCA Deutag's heavy land drilling rig T-45, comprises the provision of drilling and related services for TAQA Energy B.V. in the Netherlands.
Hans Schröer, KCA Deutag's Country Manager for Europe, said, "This is a significant contract award for us and builds on KCA Deutag's long history of operations in the Netherlands."
"The wells will be drilled on two to three clusters in a batch drilling mode, which will require a high number of rig skidding processes. KCA Deutag has gained a lot of experience in skidding activities from other projects, such as the current rig operation of T-46 in Spain, and can show an impressive track record of fast skidding processes and further improvements."
