Ensco 105 Spuds Offshore Tunisian Well

Storm Ventures International has spud the Fuchsia-1 well in the Gulf of Hammamet, Tunisia. Drilled by the ENSCO 105 jackup, the well is expected to reach a total depth of 9,514 feet (2,900 meters) and evaluate the Birsa formation sandstones by logs. After an evaluation, the well will be plugged and abandoned. In the event of a discovery, field appraisal and development planning activities should take place. Storm Ventures International operates the prospect, holding a 35% interest; Cooper Energy holds 35%; and RAK Petroleum holds the remaining 30% interest.
