Statoil Upgrades Accomodation at Troll
Statoil has installed new accommodation and office modules on the Troll A platform, using the Saipem 7000 crane vessel. The 3,031-ton (2750-tonne) modules will increase the accommodation capacity to 211 cabins, allowing for extra crew to occupy the platform to perform several modifications scheduled later this year on the Troll field. The Troll field compromises of the Troll East and Troll West structures on Blocks 31/2, 31/3, 31/5, and 31/6 in 1,115 feet (340 meters) of water in the Norwegian North Sea.
