TGS Launches 1st Multi-Client Seismic Project in Barents Sea
TGS began interpreting 642,474 acres (2,600 square kilometers) of 3D seismic shot over the Hoop Fault Complex in Norway's sector of the Barents Sea. The 3D seismic data will be processed using pre-stack depth migration techniques, and will be managed by the TGS processing center in Bedford, United Kingdom. The M/V Geo Barents and M/V Geo Pacific acquired the data during the summer of 2009. Final data will be available for the industry before the application deadline for the 21st licensing round in Norway.SubseaIQ provides focused, in-depth coverage of offshore field development activities around the world, with daily updates on hundreds of offshore fields and facilities.
