Eni Initiates Kitan Oil Field Development
Eni has begun development of the Kitan oil field, which includes three wells connecting to the Glas Dowr FPSO. First production is expected to commence in the second half of 2011. The Kitan field is situated approximately 100 miles (161 kilometers) off the East Timor coast and 300 miles (483 kilometers) off the Australian coast, and lies in waters measuring 1,000 feet (305 meters).
