Cove: Drilling Ceased Offshore Mozambique
Anadarko ceased drilling operations on the Collier 1 well after encountering pore pressure at the top of the predicted reservoir objective. Drilling operations ended after the operator deemed it unsafe to continue drilling, so the well did not penetrate or fully evaluate the entire objective section. Collier 1 will be suspended and plugged for re-entry at a later date pending analysis of all relevant well data. The Belford Dolphin drillship will now move within Area 1 offshore to drill the Ironclad prospect in the southern part of the 3D seismic area, then immediately move to the Barquentine well to test an independent prospect near the Windjammer discovery well.SubseaIQ provides focused, in-depth coverage of offshore field development activities around the world, with daily updates on hundreds of offshore fields and facilities.
