Det norske Strikes Oil on Storklakken
Det norske made an oil discovery in exploration well 25/1-11 on the Storklakken prospect in PL 460. The well encountered a 30-foot (nine-meter) oil column with good reservoir quality. Data sampling is being performed, and a sidetrack well will be drilled to assess the size of the discovery. Storklakken is located on Blocks 24/3, 25/1 and 25/2 in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea, which is wholly owned and operated by Det norske.SubseaIQ provides focused, in-depth coverage of offshore field development activities around the world, with daily updates on hundreds of offshore fields and facilities.
