Expro Touts Exceptional Safety in Cameroon

Leading international oilfield service company Expro has achieved another safety milestone after it recorded 1,000 days without a lost time incident (LTI) at its base in Douala, Cameroon.

More than 15 personnel work at the base which has been operational since November 2005.

The achievement follows the recently-announced success in Expro's Australasia region which recorded four years with no LTIs and was awarded the influential IFAP/CGU Safe Way Achiever Award at Gold level.

Expro has won the Oil & Gas sector award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the past four years in succession, in recognition of its international safety standards and performance.

These successes endorse the company's continuing commitment to its Excellence in Operations program which strives to ensure the highest level of safety in the workplace.

Expro Cameroon base manager, Gerard Tonfack, said, "We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and service performance. The 1,000-day LTI achievement is testament to the commitment of our team who persevere every day to ensure we have the safest operating environment in what can be very challenging conditions."
