Anadarko All Smiles over Wahoo Appraisal

During a drill stem test performed on the Wahoo-1 well in the pre-salt Wahoo field, the well flowed at a sustained rate (limited by equipment and facilities) of roughly 7,500 barrels per day of 31-degree API gravity crude oil and approximately 4 MMcf/d of associated natural gas. The test confirmed the nature and productivity of the reservoir, and based on data recovered, Anadarko believes the well will be able to produce more than 15,000 bopd. Anadarko will now perform a test on the Wahoo-2 well, approximately 5 miles to the north. The data gathered from these two tests will help the operator to select an optimum development plan for the field, which has an estimated gross resource potential of more than 300 MMbbl. Once testing is complete, the Deepwater Millennium drillship will move five miles (eight kilometers) to the south of the discovery well to drill the Wahoo South exploration well, which is also located on the same block. The Wahoo field is located offshore Brazil in the Campos Basin on Block BM-C-30 in a water depth of 4,650 feet (1,417 meters), and Anadarko is the operator, holding a 30% working interest.
