Easington Area Fields in North Sea Shut-in

Natural gas production from the Easington Catchment Area fields in the UK sector of the North Sea will be shut-in while work is performed on the nearby Cleeton compressor. The fields, which include the Neptune, Mercury and Juno complexes, will be closed for between three and four days.

BG is the operator of the Easington Catchment Area. The Cleeton compressor is operated by BP.

ECA produced 6,110 million cubic feet of gas in September and 16,976 barrels of condensate. According to the Department of Trade and Industry, Mercury produced an average of 1.5 million cubic metres (mcm) a day of gas in 2002 with Neptune at 4.6 mcm a day. No figures were available for Juno.
