Xodus Makes Subsea Appointments

Twelve new faces have joined the subsea division of Aberdeen-headquartered energy consultancy, Xodus Group. This includes three key appointments to head up new service lines for the subsea division.

Based in Aberdeen, Matt Kirk joins the group to head up the company's subsea operational support and integrity management services. With 12 years subsea construction experience, Kirk joins Xodus from Acergy where he was latterly group remote operations manager.

Frank Smith, a riser specialist, has been appointed head of detailed design within the subsea division. Bringing industry-leading riser and umbilical design engineering and analysis experience to the division, Smith will also be based in Aberdeen. His expertise allows Xodus to complete its subsea project lifecycle offering with a turnkey capability from concept/FEED engineering to project delivery and operations support. Smith was previously engineering team leader with MCS, where he spent 13 years in Aberdeen and Houston.

Andrew Wylie, previously of Technip and MCS also joins Xodus to lead the company's project delivery capability, providing assurance on critical procurement throughout the lifecycle of a project and supporting the package management of umbilical and flexible riser systems.
