Cameron Unveils New Triple Offset Butterfly Valve
The new WKM® TriAx Triple Offset Butterfly valve is the newest addition to Cameron's Valves & Measurement group's line-up of products.
The TriAx provides the same reliable, metal seating, zero leakage, cost efficient features as triple offset valves have come to be known for, yet the TriAx also offers superior and unique features found nowhere else on the market. These include the patented pressed-in seat (US patent 5,707,040) for easy in field reparability, seat integrity, and leak path elimination without the use of any fasteners or welding. Beyond this unique feature, the TriAx offers three point stem retention in excess of the code. Self centering disc with thrust positioned to reduce wear. Grit reducers to restrict media from entering bearing/packing areas and pressure wall thickness on flanged end valves meeting API 600 which is thicker than the standard often used in the industry (ASME B16.34). Finally, on larger valves an upgrade is available which includes MAXTORQUE™ (a Cameron technology) gear operator for applications where low torque, reduced rim pull, and/or turns-to-operate are critical.
The TriAx covers a broad range of temperature and service conditions matching that of many critical applications for multiple industries. Some of these include Power Generation, Tank Storage, Gas Processing, Refining, HVAC, and Petrochemical.
