Rooster Crows About Successful Eugene Island Well

Rooster Petroleum, LLC on Monday announced the successful drilling and completion of the Rooster #A-3 Well located on Eugene Island Block 28. The development well was drilled to 12,140' TVD/ 12,451' MD under contract by Applied Drilling Technology, Inc. using the Atwood Richmond submersible rig. As anticipated, the Rooster #A-3 Well encountered the Tex W sand that currently produces from the Rooster #A-2 ST1.

The Rooster #A-3 Well encountered approximately 30' net oil and gas pay in the Tex W sand interval. The initial production rate from the well was 1242 BOPD, 5.16 MMCFD, through a 16/64th choke with a flowing pressure of 6000 psi. As a result of being able to utilize the existing production facility in place, Rooster was able to begin marketing production from the Well within several days of completion.

Rooster Eugene Island #A-3 is the fourth successful well for Rooster Petroleum. It also marks the first well drilled by Rooster Petroleum on a self-generated prospect. The Rooster #A-3 Well significantly increases the proven reserves of the Company and is the first of several wells that Rooster anticipates drilling on Eugene Island Block 28. Additionally, building on the success at Eugene Island Block 28, Rooster Petroleum plans to aggressively pursue a drilling program in 2010 to exploit its existing asset base in the shallow waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Rooster Petroleum, LLC, a subsidiary of Morrison Energy Group, LLC, seeks to acquire and operate mature oil and gas properties primarily located in the Gulf of Mexico and adjacent waters and exploit and explore those assets for remaining reserves while managing their ultimate decommissioning. Morrison Energy Group, which is comprised of Chet Morrison Contractors, Chet Morrison Well Services and Rooster Petroleum, provides a fully integrated platform to its clients and serves as a single source contractor with expertise across a variety of disciplines.
