Tri-Valley Upbeat on Oil Creek Results

Tri-Valley's Oil Creek Prospect exploratory test well is encountering oil and gas shows in one of its main objective sands. "While encouraging, mud log shows in the Gatchell Sand below 8,500 feet are not conclusive and are totally speculative at this time," according to F. Lynn Blystone, president and chief executive officer.

The Company plans to continue drilling through several hundred feet of the formation before deciding to log the well and will then resume drilling to the target depth of 10,800 feet.

The Oil Creek exploratory prospect has about 2,000 mapped acres near Coalinga, California, an area that has produced nearly two billion barrels of oil and nearly four trillion cubic feet of natural gas.
