Oil Search Drills Ahead at Al Meashar-1 in Yemen's Block 7
Oil Search reported that the Al Meashar-1 well in Block 7, Yemen spudded on November 29. As at 06:00 Yemen time on December 2 (-7 hrs AEST), the well was at 239 meters and drilling ahead in a 26" hole.
Al Meashar-1 is targeting fractured basement rock in a structure defined by a 3D survey acquired in 2008. The well has a predicted total depth of approximately 3,400 meters and is expected to take 70-75 days to drill.
