Major Canadian Oilfield Services Cos Merge

Oilfield Services companies, Alliance Energy Services and Marquis Fluids, have merged their companies to form Marquis Alliance Energy Group Inc.

"This merger creates one of the largest private integrated drilling fluids, environmental and solids control companies in Canada," said George Wadsworth, who was President of Alliance and now assumes this role in the merged entity. "This is truly a merger of equals," stated
Wadsworth, "and the financial strength of the former companies, expanded owner-operated facilities, complementary services and products and minimal overlap in our customer base and geographic marketplaces creates a strong foundation for us to be highly competitive in the
marketplace and positions us for growth in Canada and Internationally."

The new Marquis Alliance will continue to be an innovative leader in all services provided in the former companies including patented heavy oil technology, environmental reporting and compliance, silicate and invert technology, innovative equipment design, research and development capabilities, alternative water-based specialty systems and software reporting systems.

"Integration of the former companies will be completed within the next three months and plans are already underway. All employees in the former companies have positions in the new entity. The expertise, knowledge and 'make it happen' attitude of employees who are the foundation of Marquis Alliance are central to our business plans," says George Wadsworth.

Our Customers are First at Marquis Alliance

Dave Rawlyk, former Vice President at Marquis, will now assume the role of Executive Vice President Canada. "Both former companies share a focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations and this will continue to be paramount in our new company," said Rawlyk. "With little overlap in our customer base, our customers will continue to work with their existing contacts and should find our delivery of services and customer support to be seamless throughout the integration process. As well, we will be able to better meet the needs of our
customers with our broader scope of services and products."

International Growth will Continue

Darryl Deibert, former President of Marquis now assumes the role of Executive Vice President International. "We are currently operating in a number of international locations including United States, Mexico, India and the Middle East, and at this time are pursuing several other international opportunities. With no changes in the International structure, people and roles and our track-record in operating internationally, we are confident in the growth plans established for our International Division. I am excited about this new role at Marquis Alliance and working with George and Dave."

The new company will continue to operate out of its current locations with the intent of everyone moving to a new home by June 2010. In the interim, some functional teams will relocate to either of the current office locations.
