Vertec Reels in Additional Cabin Rental Contracts
Aberdeen-based Vertec Engineering Limited (Vertec) has secured a number of new rental contracts totalling almost £40,000.
Vertec, which specializes in the design, build, sale and rental of specialist engineering service cabins and control rooms for the oil and gas industry, has supplied several units to major operators over the last month for use in both African and European waters.
Among those clients supplied with modules in recent weeks have been Schlumberger, Weatherford and Baker Atlas.
Vertec Sales Manager Mark Slater said, "This recent flurry of contract awards saw us supplying specialized well-service cabins for offshore technicians monitoring drilling processes and technicians involved in sample analysis work for logging activities. We also delivered office accommodation for campaign maintenance personnel, which was refitted quickly to meet their specific requirements.
"Part of our appeal to our customers lies in our ability to respond quickly to requests for quotes and to deliver units in accordance with tight deadlines. This is achieved through our availability of units from stock and the flexibility of our rental units' design to be quickly and easily modified to suit any individual clients' needs.
"Due to continued low oil prices, many industry operators currently have less capacity to invest significantly in goods and equipment and as a result organisations are increasingly turning to the rental market which can offer them more cost-effective solutions. Our flexible rental fleet offers a wide range of innovative solutions to clients' needs and the planned investment to extend our fleet early next year will further enhance our offering in this area."
For more than 20 years, Vertec Engineering has been an international market leader in the design and manufacture of specialist offshore cabins and control rooms which house equipment and operatives in optimum conditions of safety, efficiency, quality and comfort.
Vertec's rental fleet consists of a range of units in various sizes, to suit almost any client requirement, and specifications ranging from safe area to Zone 1. All units are designed to operate on a worldwide basis, and can be mobilized to any location across the globe.
