Nabors Well Services' Elk City Facility Reaches 'Star Level'
The Nabors Well Services (NWS) Elk City facility has been approved by the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for the Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) at Star level. Achieving the VPP approval required a rigorous audit of operations, practices, safety records and employee interviews. Upon successful conclusion to the process, OSHA recognized the NWS employees and manager for exemplary achievement in employee safety and health.
The NWS Elk City facility is the only facility in Oklahoma which provides support activities for oil and gas operations to earn VPP status. Nationwide, only 0.03% of businesses of any type are VPP approved.
