DOF Reels in ROV Subsea Service Contract from StatoilHydro
Bergen-based specialist subsea service company DOF Subsea Norway has been awarded a contract for the provision of ROV services onboard Skandi Vega by end client StatoilHydro.
The 2 year contract will commence during the first quarter of 2010 with options to extend the provision of services up to 6 further years.
Commenting on the award, General Manager, Duncan MacPherson stated, "We are pleased to be working together with DOF ASA to deliver an integrated solution to our common, valued client StatoilHydro."
Skandi Vega is a state of the art Anchor Handling vessel which will be among the most powerful in the world.
DOF Subsea provides subsea construction and engineering, IRM, ROV and survey support services to the world’s major subsea markets. The company employs over 1,200 highly qualified staff and owns state of the art equipment including 30 offshore construction, diving and ROV support vessels, 41 ROVs, 1 AUV and 11 diving spreads.
In support of its growing global business, an extensive new build program is currently underway with 11 new vessels and 16 new Triton XLX ROVs scheduled for delivery during 2009 - 2011.
