Cameron to Supply Pumping Systems for KuMaloobZaap Platforms
Cameron's Process Systems group has received an order valued at $86 million for sixteen multiphase pumping systems to be installed on three offshore platforms in the KuMaloobZaap field in the Gulf of Mexico. This represents the largest single order ever booked in Cameron's Process Systems business.
Cameron will provide design engineering and packaging for the systems, which will include pumps, electric motors, piping, valves and control systems. The multiphase pumps will be provided by Leistritz Corporation, a longtime partner in subsea applications with Cameron's Subsea Systems group, and will be manufactured in Germany.
The multiphase pumping systems are designed to boost pipeline delivery pressure and increase crude oil production rates; delivery and installation of the systems are expected to take place in 2011.
