Russia may increase its share of the world liquefied natural gas (LNG) market to 25 percent, Gazprom head Aleksey Miller said on Thursday at a conference in Salekhard on developing gas fields of Yamal.

"Russia may take a leading position on the world market of liquefied natural gas and get 25 percent of the world market," Miller said.

Earlier Economic Development Minister Elvira Nabiullina told the conference that Russia might increase its share of the world LNG market to 20 per cent and higher.
