Ferguson to Provide Accommodation for Woodside's Pluto Project
Ferguson Modular will supply Woodside with a 15-module complex providing accommodation for 48 POB (persons on board), complete with galley, mess, office and medic facilities, under two contracts with Woodside Burrup Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Woodside Energy Ltd.
The company has previously supplied accommodation complexes to the Angel and Goodwyn A platforms offshore Western Australia.
The AU$12billion Pluto field near Karratha is estimated to contain a total dry gas recoverable reserve volume of 4.4trillion cubic feet. It is on track to become the fastest developed LNG (liquefied natural gas) project in the world from discovery of the field in 2005 to production of first gas forecast for late 2010.
Gary Wilson, director of business development at Ferguson Modular, said, "We are very pleased to be continuing our working relationship with Woodside, and we are delighted to be part of such a key project. The award of this contract proves that our level of service and quality of our products continues to meet our client's high standards.
"Ferguson Modular has a reputation for manufacturing the highest quality accommodation and workspace modules currently available in the global marketplace. All products are built in-house to the latest specifications and, with this control over the production process, Ferguson Modular can guarantee the quality of the end product and delivery schedules."
Mr. Wilson added, "The Ferguson Group has invested heavily in developing the fleet of accommodation and containers available to our customers with £60million investment across our divisions over three years to meet the requirements of both existing and new clients around the world.
"As well as supplying accommodation units, Ferguson Modular has just launched a new operation, offering accommodation barges to the global energy industry. Using our past experience in supplying accommodation barge complexes, Ferguson Modular can supply a fully-flexible solution to fit the exact requirements of our customers."
