BP Selects Accenture to Provide SAP Applications Devt Services
BP has awarded Accenture a contract to provide BP with information technology application development services. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Accenture will help BP simplify, standardize and consolidate its IT software applications to meet BP's goals of achieving efficiency throughout the organization and to manage IT costs. Under the agreement, Accenture will be BP's strategic service provider for its SAP development work.

In awarding Accenture our SAP development work we look forward to taking advantage of their extensive SAP know-how and leveraging their deep understanding of the oil and gas Industry. This contract will help BP to accelerate the implementation of SAP across the organization, and lower our overall cost base."
