FloaTEC Strengthens Management with 4 Key Appointments

FloaTEC, LLC recently filled key positions to accommodate its expanding project workload. Industry veteran Harvey McBee has joined the FloaTEC team, along with Katia Georgiev, Jack Zhong and Bilei Chen. These additions further strengthen FloaTEC's project management and engineering competency and capability for the design and delivery of TLP, Spar and Semi-FPS hull, mooring and riser systems.

Harvey McBee joins as Senior Project Manager. He is a Registered Professional Engineer with over 30 years of diversified experience in management and engineering of offshore floating production and drilling systems. Major areas of expertise are in project planning and execution and interface management.

Katia Georgiev joins as Lead Marine Systems Engineer. She has over 11 years experience in the offshore oil and gas industry. Her knowledge of piping and mechanical systems arises from extensive project work with floating structures - Semi-submersibles, Tension Leg Platforms, Spars, FPSOs, drilling barges, jackups, and drilling and well intervention ships.

Jack Zhong joins as Principal Structural Engineer. He has over 11 years experience designing and analyzing offshore steel structures. Major offshore projects include Semi-submersibles, Jack-ups, FPSOs.

Bilei Chen joins as Structural Engineer. He has 2 years experience in reinforced concrete, post tension and steel structural engineering design, analysis, and project management.
