NPD Posts June Production for Norwegian Continental Shelf

The average daily production in June 2009 was about 1,773,000 barrels of oil, about 241,000 barrels of NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) and about 77,000 barrels of condensate, in total of 2,091,000 barrels liquid.

In June 17.3 million standard cubic meters of oil equivalents (Sm3 o.e.) were produced. This is 0.5 million standard cubic meters less than in June 2008.

Several fields were partly closed in June due to planned maintenance.

Production from Valhall and Hod was partly closed due to corrosion problems.

So far this year the average daily production has been about 2.0 million barrels of oil and the total liquid production about 2.4 million barrels. Total production so far is about 121.6 million Sm3 o.e. This is 0.4 million Sm3 o.e. less than in the same period last year.
