Deep Marine Technology Welcomes New President and COO

Deep Marine Technology has promoted Wade Abadie to President and Chief Operating Officer. He will have the responsibility of advancing the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organization. He will also continue to oversee company operations insuring production efficiency, quality, service, and safe cost-effective management of company resources.

"Wade is a proven leader and his industry experience and knowledge have been a key part of our success. I am extremely pleased that the board of directors has promoted him to this important position," said Bruce Gilman, Chairman and CEO.

Mr. Abadie joined the company in 2005 and has been a key member of the Executive team in growing the company. He has been involved in the Subsea Deepwater Industry for over 34 years, and has held senior executive positions at several companies during his longevity in the industry.

Considered to be one of the pioneers in the use of ROVs in the Oil and Gas marketplace, Wade was also a key member in building one of the largest groups of ROVs serving the Oil and Gas Industry in the 1970s and is responsible for helping design and implement some of the earlier incarnations of the Work Class ROVs used today.

Going back as far as 1976, some of the key Deepwater projects Wade has assisted with include Shell’s Cognac, Exxon's Lena Guyed Tower, and BP's deepwater projects: Thunder Horse, Holstein, Mad Dog, and Atlantis. Mr. Abadie is a long standing member of industry organizations Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Marine Technology Society (MTS).
