Multi-Chem Opens Global Business Devt Office in New Orleans

Multi-Chem, a global provider of oilfield production chemicals, has opened a new Global Business Development office in New Orleans, announced Harold Johnson, Vice President of Global Business Development.

The New Orleans office will support the Gulf of Mexico region and deepwater operations worldwide, in conjunction with an operations office and blend facility in New Iberia, La. The GOM Region Operations group will maintain an office at the New Orleans location manned by the Eastern GOM Area Manager, Mark Yorkey.

Allen Wiley, Senior Projects Manager, will oversee the new office from New Orleans under the direction of Global Business Development Director James Willis in Houston.

"This office is important to us," said Wiley, "because being at the heart of our customers' core business areas has been a long-standing objective for Multi-Chem."

"By providing superior local service we can provide closer customer interface on shelf and deepwater operations, develop stronger relationships with our customers, and become better neighbors to the communities we serve," said Willis.

Both men are highly experienced in oil and gas production chemicals, together bringing almost 70 years of experience to the New Orleans office. Wiley has spent 30 years in the industry, working with NL Industries and Baker Hughes before joining Multi-Chem in 2006. Willis has almost 40 years of experience, spending 13 years with Champion Technologies and over 25 years with Petrolite's Tretolite division.
