Offshore Accommodation & Container Specialist Releases New Modules
International offshore accommodation specialists Ferguson Modular Ltd, part of the Ferguson Group, has announced the release of 50 new units into its hire fleet, with immediate availability.
The £3.5million investment in the freezer and workspace units, which surpass industry standards, is part of Ferguson Modular's multi-million pound strategy to expand the range and volume in the fleet available for hire through all international energy industry locations.
Release of the units follows on from the Ferguson Group's announcement last week of a new operation by Ferguson Modular to offer accommodation barges in a significant development for the offshore market.
The AMT Explorer will be available from August 1 and negotiations are currently underway for Ferguson Modular to purchase a second barge to be on offer from later this year.
The set up on the AMT Explorer will be totally adaptable and tailored to the needs of individual customers, offering accommodation and facilities for between 66 POB and 132 POB, depending on configuration, with the option to add further modules. The second barge will be available for up to 240 POB. Both will have complexes that can be built up or stripped back to suit the exact needs of their project. They will be suitable for use in all major oil and gas provinces, as well as by the renewables sector.
Meanwhile, the range of new units revealed today includes a variety of A60 DNV 2.7-1 accommodation and workspace modules predominantly for the offshore market, and DNV 2.7-1 Safe area freezer units.
The A60 DNV 2.7-1 accommodation and workspace modules are a combination of 4.8m and 6m specification, and provide a safe and comfortable fit for purpose working environment.
Standard features include flexible internal layouts, air-conditioning with individual thermostat control, PLC based fire and gas detection unit and high quality fixtures and fittings. A number of the A60 DNV 2.7-1 modules are Zone 2, NORSOK Z-015 units, fitted with electric height adjustable desks and high spec operator's chairs.
The DV2.7-1 freezer units feature dual temperature settings for chiller or freezer, have hygienic, easy-to-clean stainless steel interiors and data loggers allowing a record of operational temperature from dispatch to delivery.
They are available to hire either on their own or as part of the overall, flexible package of modules from Ferguson Modular, comprising a full range of accommodation units sleeping one to eight people, and workspace modules including offices, laboratories, laundry, changing rooms, galleys, mess and workshop units.
Gary Wilson, director of business development at the Ferguson Group's modular division, said, "Ferguson Modular has a reputation for manufacturing the highest quality accommodation and workspace modules currently available in the global marketplace. All products are built in-house to the latest specifications and with this control over the production process Ferguson Modular can guarantee the quality of the end product and delivery schedules.
"The Ferguson Group has invested heavily in developing the fleet of accommodation and containers available to our customers with £60million investment planned across our divisions over three years to meet the requirements of both existing and new clients around the world."
