Canadian Superior Kicks Off Drumheller Drilling Program

Canadian Superior Energy has successfully commenced drilling on a multi-well drilling program on its recently acquired Drumheller, Alberta area oil and gas properties.

Company President, Greg Noval, said in Calgary today, "Canadian Superior has just completed the drilling of the first four wells of a forty well drilling program planned for the Drumheller area over the next twelve months. The first four wells drilled 100% by Canadian Superior have resulted in two oil discoveries and two natural gas discoveries. The two oil discoveries located at LSD 11-20-29-14 W4M and LSD 09-20-29-14 W4M have been tested at initial combined production rates of 660 barrels of oil per day. The two natural gas discoveries located at LSD 12-02-33-17 W4M and LSD 04-21-31-17 W4M are currently awaiting completion and they are expected to be tied-in for production within the next 30 days. We are extremely pleased with the initial results of our Drumheller drilling program and we look forward to continuing ahead with further drilling in this exciting new area."

Canadian Superior's Drumheller area properties consist of high working interests in approximately 170,000 gross acres of land (106,693 net acres). The property is accessible for development on a year-round basis and has multi-zone potential for shallow and medium depth oil and natural gas. Canadian Superior owns extensive seismic data in the area and key infrastructure assets consisting of interests in three gas plants, three oil batteries, 20 production facilities and 130 kilometers of company-operated pipelines.
