Mustang Taps Cortez, Dalton as New Executive VPs

Mustang, part of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC ("Wood Group"), has appointed A.J. Cortez and John W. Dalton, Sr. to the newly created positions of executive vice presidents.

Steve Knowles, president of Mustang, commented, "These newly created positions will support Mustang's strategic directives, especially in international arenas. A.J. and John are highly respected in the industry for their experience, contributions and leadership and are naturals to fill their new roles."

Cortez has worldwide oversight of four of Mustang's six business units: Upstream, Pipeline, Process Plants and Automation & Control. Cortez has 34 years experience in the design, project and construction management of oil and gas projects. During his career, he has managed corporate line organizations, sponsored the formation of a technology company, and managed numerous high-profile oil and gas projects, taking them from feasibility through startup. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers.

Dalton has oversight for global engineering, project services, construction operations and the Midstream and Process & Industrial Business Units. He has more than 37 years of industry experience, including operations and staff management positions in all aspects of engineering, procurement and construction. Dalton, a graduate of the University of Houston, serves as 2009 Chairman of the Executive Committee for the Construction Industry Institute, is a member of the executive advisory board for the Engineering and Construction Contracting Association, and sits on advisory boards for engineering and/or construction programs at four major universities.
