Petrobras Rejects Bids on P-51 & P-52 Platforms

Petrobras has rejected all bids for contracts to build power generators for two new offshore platforms. The company said that offers of between $117 million and $132 million were too high and it will now try to negotiate lower prices from Dresser-Rand, Nuovo Pignoni and Rolls Royce.

Meanwhile the company said only three of six companies met bid prerequisites to build the P-51 and P-52 platforms. These were a team made up of Brazilian firm Odebrecht and Saipem, the Fels Setal/Technip team and Samsung.
