Apexindo's Rani Woro Jackup Records Significant Safety Performance
One of PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk's jackup rigs, the Rani Woro, has successfully booked a remarkable safety performance. In early February 2009, Rani Woro recorded 8 consecutive years of operation without any lost time incidents.
This is an outstanding achievement in the drilling industry, considering the hazardous working environment at a rig site, which involves heavy equipment that may potentially cause accidents. Moreover, Rani Woro proudly has been successfully maintaining operations without accidents during its services for several clients such as Total Abu Al Bukosh, Statoil ASA, Crescent Petroleum, Indago Oman Ltd. and Santos (Sampang) Pty. Ltd. This record certainly demonstrates solid teamwork of all Raniworo's crew to deliver the best services without incident.
"As a drilling company with a vision to be a world class company, Apexindo is committed to continuously promoting work safety issues. We always emphasize to ever crew that safety is the number one priority and one shall stop working if one feels unsafe or senses any potential hazard. It is our hope that every crew is always in safe and sound condition," said Apexindo's President Director.
The Rani Woro jackup rig was also elected as one among six international contractors who received "The Chief Executive HSE Awards" from Statoil in 2004.
