Vanco Names New VP, General Counsel
Vanco has announced the recent appointment of Todd J. Mullen as Vice President -- General Counsel. In this capacity, Mullen has overall responsibility for Vanco worldwide legal services, reporting directly to Gene Van Dyke, Chairman and President of Vanco Energy Company.
Mullen has significant experience in the domestic and international oil and gas sector with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and ConocoPhillips Company.
Most recently, Mullen held the position of Division Counsel & Chief Legal Compliance Officer for leading drill bits manufacturer Hughes Christensen, a division of Baker Hughes Incorporated. He provided a range of legal and legal management services to Hughes Christensen's senior management and business units.
Mullen began his legal career with the international law firm King & Spalding LLP, first in Atlanta then Houston, as an Associate in the M&A/Corporate and Global Projects groups, focusing on international oil and gas and LNG projects prior to joining Anadarko’s legal department.
Mullen earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies/Political Science from Rhodes College, Memphis, TN, and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA.
