TNK-BP's Khanty-Mansi Production to Stay Put at Current Levels
German Khan, Executive Director of TNK-BP, is holding a series of meetings in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area -- the main oil production region of the company, the press service of TNK-BP said to Petroleum Information Agency (ANI).
The main goal of the visit is discussion of company's plans in the context of current economic situation, explained the press service representative.
At the meeting with Alexander Filippenko, Governor of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, on Thursday in the city of Khanty-Mansiysk, German Khan said that the company is not going to lower the rate of oil production in the autonomous area. "Some of our investment projects will be curtailed, but our plans of oil production in the autonomous area will remain intact," added he without specifying the production volume.
As reported earlier, in 2008 TNK-BP subsidiaries produced 46 million tons of oil in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area, which is 70% of the overall oil production of TNK-BP without Slavneft.
The Executive Director of TNK-BP is expected to have meetings with the heads and leaders of the cities of Nizhnevartovsk, Raduzhnoe, and Nyagan and the Administration of the Nizhnevartovsk Region.
Apart from that, Mr. Khan will also speak with the personnel of TNK-BP subsidiaries in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area.
In January 2009, Mr. Khan has already visited other regions of company presence, namely, Orenburg, Saratov, and Tyumen.
