Kidnapped Oil Workers Located

The three oil workers that were kidnapped last week in Nigeria have been located and efforts are underway to secure their safe release. "They have been located and are said to be sound and safe and the contractors are making efforts to get them released," a Shell official said. The location where the workers are being held is not being disclosed.

At the time the men were abducted, they were working for Willbros Offshore, a contractor to Shell Petroleum Development Company. Willbros was laying an offshore pipeline for SPDC's Forcados Yokri project.
