KBR Sells Seaforth Maritime
The Operations and Maintenance division of Kellogg Brown & Root has closed the sale of its Aberdeen based marine logistics company, Seaforth Maritime Limited to local transport and services provider, Ashley Group. KBR is the engineering and construction subsidiary of Halliburton.
Seaforth Maritime was acquired by Halliburton in 1993 and currently employs 109 personnel in Aberdeen and Heysham with an annual turnover of £50 million. The sale of Seaforth Maritime by KBR Production Services follows a strategic review of business where it was decided that, when required, marine logistics services can be effectively managed without ownership. It is not anticipated that there will be any job losses as a result of this sale.
