Wellpoint Releases New Oil, Gas Software Application Suite

WellPoint has announced the release of WellPoint Integrated Suite (WIS) 4.1, an integrated oil and gas software application suite powered by Microsoft Dynamics AX. Version 4.1 introduces new functionality to the oil and gas industry by integrating the WellPoint Energy Broker (ENB) and the WellPoint Energy Financial Management (EFM) solutions in a single package.

"In times of economic uncertainty, containing costs and driving operational efficiencies becomes even more important and we understand that," said Richard Slack, COO of WellPoint. "Offering an integrated suite to the oil
and gas industry allows our clients to benefit from the related functionality of ENB and EFM."

By integrating ENB and EFM, oil and gas companies can benefit from improvements in operational efficiency, international financial management and business analysis for both their marketing and pipeline operations, allowing them to build a competitive advantage and fuel growth. The smooth exchange of data between the two solutions is facilitated by utilizing the Microsoft Dynamics AX architecture to allow for processes to be linked and the leveraging of business data to drive operational gains and generate new insight.

ENB is a state of the art integrated oil and gas marketing software solution with a flexible contract and price builder and a comprehensive logistics marketing and settlement solution. This configurable and scalable
application is a multi-commodity, multi-currency and multi-language marketing system. ENB will revolutionize how oil and gas trading organizations can do business.

EFM was designed with the complex needs of oil & gas companies in mind, offering a single standard global solution for worldwide financial management and reporting requirements. Financial solutions from WellPoint offer a fresh approach to corporate financial management with a configurable solution focused on industry requirements for integration and flexibility. The result is an innovative solution capable of exceeding the financial and accounting requirements of the industry, including authorization for expenditure management, cost center controls, division of interest and joint interest billing.
