MMS Selects New Orleans District Manager for Field Operations
New Orleans District Drilling Engineer David Trocquet has been selected as the new District Manager for the MMS New Orleans District Office, Field Operations.
Trocquet will manage several important Field Operations functions within the New Orleans District including: drilling permit reviews, production facility and workover completion permits, safety inspections, civil penalty reviews, and accident investigations.
"David Trocquet contributes a wealth of valuable experience in engineering, production, drilling, and exploration," said Gulf of Mexico Regional Director Lars Herbst.
After working for five years in various positions with the oil and gas industry, Trocquet began his career at MMS in January 1988 as a staff petroleum engineer and has been with MMS since. He served as a petroleum engineer with MMS' Gulf of Mexico Regional Office prior to transferring to the MMS New Orleans District in 1996.
Trocquet earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University in 1982, and also completed graduate coursework in Petroleum Engineering (1990), and Computer Science (1991).
