PGNiG Appoints New Supervisory Board Members
By the decision of the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, Joanna Stuglik and Hubert Konarski were removed from the Supervisory Board. The General Meeting has appointed Maciej Kaliski and Marek Karabula to the Supervisory Board of PGNiG.
Professor Maciej Kaliski is a graduate of the School of Drilling, Oil and Gas of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow. He currently holds the position of Deputy Head of the faculty of Gas Engineering and the Head of Studies on Oil and Gas Industry Economics and Production Management. He is also the Director of the Oil and Gas Department at the Ministry of Economy. Professor Kaliski is the author and co-author of over 100 articles in Polish and international professional journals, as well as 20 books, textbooks, and monographs.
He is a specialist in the fields of energy security, business restructuring, and value based management. He has nearly 20 years of experience in managing large corporations and joint-ventures.
Marek Karabula is a graduate of the Management School of the Cracow University of Economics (1996). Since January 10, 2008, he is the President of the Management Board of Nafta Polska S.A., and since July 9, 2008, he is the Vice-President of the Supervisory Board of PKN Orlen SA.
Marek Karabula was a Member of the Management Board of Rafineria Trzebinia S.A. from December 2005 until October 2006; a Member of the Management Board of ORLEN Oil Sp. z o.o. from March 2006 until October 2006; the Vice-President of the Management Board of Browary Polskie Brok-Strzelec S.A. from December 2004 until October 2005; the Vice-President of the Management Board of AUTOSAN S.A. from October 2003 until September 2004; the Vice-President of the Management Board of Browary Dolnoœl¹skie Piast S.A. from December 2000 until January 2002; and the Vice-President of the Management Board of Browary Okocim S.A. from December 1994 until October 2000.
