Antrim Adds New Board Member
Antrim Energy announced that James Cameron Smith, CA, will join its board as a Non-Executive Director effective immediately.
Smith has more than 35 years of experience in management functions, primarily in financial and administrative areas. With the addition of Smith, the Antrim Board will consist of seven members.
Smith, 57, has been involved in the oil and gas industry since 1983 and has worked as a vice president at major companies such as Amoco Canada, Crestar Energy and Dome Petroleum. He was Chief Financial Officer of Crestar Energy Inc. from its formation in 1992, through its public offering in 1993, until 1998. He is also a director of Penn West Petroleum Ltd., Pure Energy Services Ltd., Grey Wolf Exploration Inc., TG World Energy Corp. and Rondo Petroleum Inc.
"Jim is a widely respected and experienced financial executive who brings added strength to the Antrim Board," said Stephen Greer, President and CEO. "His background in financial analysis and reporting, and dealing with the financial markets will be a valuable contribution to Antrim's future growth and success."
Smith is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Toronto. He has also completed the Program for Senior Executives at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
