Sembcorp Names Lim Ah Doo as Its New Director
The Board of Sembcorp Marine is pleased to announce the appointment of Lim Ah Doo as an Independent Director of the Company with effect from November 7, 2008.
Lim started his career in the banking sector, spending 18 years with Morgan Grenfell Group in Asia from 1977 to 1995. His appointment as Chairman and Managing Director of Morgan Grenfell (Asia) Limited was among the various positions last held by him in the group.
He is currently non-executive vice chairman of RGM Group and non-executive deputy chairman of Asian Agri, the agro industry arm of the Group. Prior to this, he served as President of RGM Group from 2003 to 2007. RGM, a major resource-based group, is a leading global producer of paper pulp, palm oil as well as rayon and specialty fiber. He also represents RGM in the Singapore-Shandong Business Council and Singapore-Jiangsu Co-operation Council.

Lim holds an honors degree in Engineering from the Queen Mary College, University of London in 1971 and a master in business administration from the Cranfield School of Management in 1976. He is currently a Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of GP Industries Ltd, a Director of Bio One Capital Ltd and SM Investments Corporation, Phillippines and a Director and Member of the Audit Committee in EDB Investment Pte Ltd.
