MMS Selects New Gulf Deputy Regional Supervisor

New Orleans District Manager Troy Trosclair has been appointed as the MMS Gulf of Mexico Region's (GOMR) new Deputy Regional Supervisor for District Operations, Field Operations.

Trosclair will supervise the Region’s five district offices located throughout the Gulf coast and oversee several vital Field Operations functions including safety inspections, accident investigations and drilling permits.

"Troy Trosclair brings a wealth of experience in exploration, development, and production and has demonstrated outstanding technical knowledge and expertise in each of his previous roles. His skills as a Production Engineer and background as a District Manager will serve the Gulf of Mexico Region well," said GOMR Regional Supervisor Mike Saucier, who announced the selection.

Trosclair started his MMS career in 1989 as a Staff Engineer, working in the Exploration and Development Plans Section. He was promoted to Production Engineer in the Houma District, and later worked in the New Orleans District in the same capacity. In 2004, he was promoted to District Manager of the New Orleans District. Trosclair earned Bachelor of Science Degrees in Petroleum Engineering in 1985, and Electrical Engineering in 1989, both from Louisiana State University.
