Petrofac Names New HR Head
Petrofac has appointed Geoff Tranfield as group head of human resources.
An accomplished HR professional, Tranfield brings 20 years of international experience from the oil & gas, utility and rail sectors. He joins Petrofac directly from a five-year tenure with Hess Corporation, where he latterly held the position of Vice President HR -- Worldwide E&P.
Prior to this he held a number of senior leadership roles, as HR Senior Vice President -- HR with TXU Europe, and managerial positions with BMW/Rover Group Power Train, Railtrack, Amoco (UK) Exploration Company and London Underground Limited.
Based at Petrofac's London office on Jermyn Street, Tranfield said, "Working closely with each of the businesses my role is to further develop best practice and HR policies across the group for our 10,000 employees. I look forward to being part of the continued growth and development of Petrofac."
