Halliburton Underscores Financial Impact from Recent Hurricanes
Halliburton announced that Hurricanes Gustav and Ike negatively impacted service operations in the Gulf of Mexico and certain parts of Louisiana and Texas, interrupted manufacturing operations in plants located in the Houston metropolitan area, and caused minor damage to its facilities along the Gulf Coast.
The impact of the two hurricanes is currently anticipated to reduce revenues and earnings per diluted share for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 by approximately $80 million and $0.04 per share, respectively.
