Western Standard Elects New VP of Land
Western Standard Energy Corp. has announced the appointment of Tim Turner as Vice-President, Land. Turner has a distinguished career spanning over 28 years in upstream oil and gas and business consulting services, working in Texas, throughout the United States, and on international projects.
Tim began his career in 1980 at Exxon Company, USA in New Orleans, Louisiana, then at Phillips Petroleum in Houston, Texas. Since 1995, Turner has been the principal at Tim Turner & Associates LLC, where he has worked with and advised major producers, independents, and international producers such as Gazprom, Pemex, PDVSA, and Saudi Aramco.
Dan Bauer, President and CEO of Western Standard, commented, "We plan to expand the business through joint venture partnerships, developing our vast portfolio of exploration assets in Montana and North Dakota, and through the acquisition of producing assets. Tim’s knowledge and experience on the business side will prove to be invaluable in that effort. Turner is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, with a Bachelor of Business Administration, Petroleum Land Management. Turner has been very active in numerous industry groups over his career including the American Petroleum Institute, Wetlands Working Group; the American Association of Petroleum Landmen, as a member of the Board of Directors and as a Certified Professional Landman; Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association and the Texas Oil and Gas Association.
