Shell Extends Force Majeure Until June
Friday, May 16, 2003
Shell has extended the force majeure on its Nigerian Forcados crude loadings until June 4th, a company spokesman said Friday. Previously, the force majeure was to be lifted on May 22nd. Shell says the delay is due to the recent political turmoil in Nigeria and is not connected with the pipeline rupture earlier this month. Normal Forcados production is 440,000 barrels per day.
