ODS Acquires Rogers Oil Tools' Assets, Expands Oilfield Services
ODS International, Inc. has announced its recent purchase of substantially all of the assets of the Rogers Oil Tools, division of Allis-Chalmers Tubular Services LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Allis-Chalmers Energy Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, key personnel from Rogers will join ODS.
"Bringing Rogers into our group of companies continues our strategy of growth, both vertically and horizontally," stated Richard Hancock, ODS' CEO. In addition, Hancock noted, "Rogers is a well known and highly respected name in the industry and strongly complements our existing product lines."
"We, the staff of Rogers Oil Tools, are looking forward to the opportunity to join a well established, innovative manufacturing group, such as ODS," said Tommie Rogers, President of Rogers Oil Tools LLC.
Rogers added, "We anticipate the successful integration of our equipment and personnel to the existing ODS product lines, and look to increase our equipments exposure in ODS' domestic and international markets."
This asset purchase expands ODS' offerings to include drill pipe tongs and hydraulic power units as well as increasing its service capability. The acquisition also adds to the already existing extensive knowledge base of ODS, which will further facilitate the organization’s ability to design innovative, cost effective solutions for the drilling industry.
